GRAPE ORIGIN: Blend of severa! vineyard grown in Barolo, Novello and Monforte d'Alba, on the right side of the Tanaro river. COLOR: Ruby-red, with frequent purple reflections, that underlines the youth of the wine. FLAVOR: Pleasantly fruity, with clear scents of marasca cherry and red fruit preserve. TASTE: Dry, full and harmonious with a pleasant bitter after-taste in the finish. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12% by vol. VINIFICATION AND AGING: A young wine made with a classic vinifìcation in wooden vats, with floating mash cap, pumping over and punching down the cap. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel containers thus to maintain the original fragrance. The aging in laid bottle lasts some months. FOOD MATCH: The Dolcetto d'Alba is usually a table wine for the entire meal, though it better matches to meat, long kind of pasta or stuffed ravioli, white meat and fresh cheese. SERVICE: Serve in medium tulip glasses at 15-16 °C.
